GET CREATIVE ON YOUR TABLET WITH THESE TOUCH SCREEN STYLUSES
SENSU PORTABLE ARTIST BRUSH & STYLUS
On a first inspection, the Sensu is just another stumpy, rubber-tip
stylus, albeit with a chrome finish. However, unscrew the stylus and discover it not only extends to twice the length with a comfort grip,
it also has a paintbrush tip. This allows you to switch between the
firm accuracy of the nib for swiping between pages as well as
drawing lines, which is good for gestures.
SUCK.UK TOUCH SCREEN STYLUS
Whimsically resembling a pencil, the Suck.uk stylus is the second chunky-grip design in our group test. While this provides a comfortable size and weight to wrap around your hand, this stylus can’t compare with the Cosmonaut. While the nib is quite accurate, it experiences significant drag on the screen as to make drawing a frustrating, stilted process. Unfortunately we can only recommend it for prodding at the screen.
COSMONAUT
Built like a chunky crayon, the Cosmonaut has one of the largest nibs in our group test. It suffers slightly with accuracy – but much less that might be expected given its size. Its size, weighted aluminium core and all-over rubber coating make this stylus extremely comfortable to hold and use. The coating also means the entire stylus is conductive, so you can use both the tapered nib and the rounded end to draw with, if you so wish. It’s a great app to look at and perhaps let kids play with, but suffers if pinpoint accuracy.
APONYO CLICK
The Click is so-called because its woven fibre nib is retractable, almost exactly like that of a ballpoint pen. The patented nib is worth protecting as it is incredibly responsive and glides across the screen. Not that the nib is delicate. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. Despite being made of fabric, it is surprisingly firm. It never missed a swipe, making it ideal for creative works as well as day-to-day use with your device. All in all, the Click represents real value for money. Purchase this you’re looking for a stylus that looks great and works smoothly.
STYLE-IT 2-IN-1
Perfect for both on and off the screen, the Style-iT stylus has both a rubber nub and a regular paper and- ink pen on the other end. The spherical nub flows across the screen in all directions with fluid ease, and we found that handled best in our group test for handwriting. The stylus comes in a range of colours, designed to match Apple’s Smart Covers. The ballpoint pen adds weight to it, so the Style-iT feels good and solid while you’re gripping it in your hand and it works excellently as well.
